Josanne Rene Rojas can be described as a kingdom soldier, a wife, a mother, and a friend.  If you’d ask Josanne who she was just a decade ago, she would have given you a much different outlook on herself. Josanne Rene Rojas was born and raised in the tropical Caribbean Island of Tobago, and she is a writer and business professional married to her heartbeat, Deon Rojas. They both own and manage Rojas Engineering Ltd, a metal fabrication and finishing company.

Josanne holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Sociology with a minor in Criminology; however, her work experience has always been centered on business administration, having grown up in an entrepreneurial household. Aside from her profession, she is a mother of two boys and she enjoys reading, writing, music, adventure, sports, and nature.

Josanne once lived a rebellious, misguided, and carefree life but one day God disrupted her living with an ultimatum she could not ignore. She was given a Kingdom mandate to erode and destroy the stronghold of ignorance that perpetuates within the Body of Christ. As a result, Josanne founded a blog called “Spiritual Literacy 101” with the sole purpose of increasing spiritual knowledge amongst believers so that they would hear and increase in learning as mandated in Proverbs 1:5. She believes that every man’s mountain is his ignorance and the renewal of the mind is pivotal in preparing persons to live wholly Christ-centric lives.

Writing has always been Josanne’s escape and becoming an author has been her lifelong dream. She recently penned and published her first book titled “What do you believe?” and credits her wholesome transformation to God. Josanne is determined to blind the world with the light of God that protrudes through her written words.

What do you believe?

This book is a clarion call for those who identify as Christians, but feel they could do more to explore and deepen their relationship with God. Rooted in scripture, personal experiences, and divine inspiration, it challenges the reader to dig deep and explore their own beliefs about God and all that He has said in His Word. Each chapter unpacks a key concept—belief, tripartite God, salvation, purpose, love, human nature, and the power of our words—with the aim of leading its reader away from the temptations and distractions of daily life, and back to the core of their belief system. These chapters are bookended with a more personal introduction, and a concluding chapter called ‘My Closing Defence for a Belief in God’.

This book seeks to remind believers that they are the true superheroes of this world. They are better than any heroic movie star they admire because their power is backed up by the unfailing power and authority of God. God desires that when we speak, our words would have the power to defeat the enemy. To embody God’s power and character, we must renew our minds and our nature by awakening our faith. God has already told us that it is only by faith and belief that we can enter through His gates. When our beliefs align with his purpose for us, our good works will naturally follow suit.

God understands we’re not perfect, but He is reminding us that we are accountable. We are answerable for our beliefs, and so it’s time we start asking, “What do you believe?”
